| Description | • Assess competencies of all categories of staff within the nursing department. • Develop strategies for teaching. • Develop training programs based on competencies. • Take part in performance appraisal with the Head Nurse of the respective unit. • Help in developing policies and procedures. • Do staff counseling as deemed necessary and document event. • Follow up on clinical performance in units and floors. • Act as clinical facilitator in training HCA’s and develop their curriculum. For Nursing Supervisor • Provide Nursing care of the highest quality, which is safe and in accordance with the Hospital Policy to achieve evidence based care objectives. • To act as a coordinator between nursing units ensuring effective and efficient nursing administration processes. • Liaise with all departments to facilitate effective and efficient patient care processes. • Assume management and leadership responsibilities in nursing practice within designated area or as otherwise directed by nursing management. • Act as a management and clinical mentor to nursing and other staff and to aid with their development |
