•Facilitate the university-wide planning and budgeting process •Ensure that budgeting and planning processes in the budget office, human resources,institutional research,the provosts office and others are synchronized to the university-wide planning and budgeting process •Act as the primary administrator of the planning and budgeting database •Prepare detailed and accurate documentation outlining the internal processes to ensure smooth planning and budgeting administration •Provide effective technical expertise as needed to budget administrators and planners on campus •In conjunction with the Director of Planning and Assessment, conduct training on the use of the planning and budgeting database •Ensure that the AUC community is kept informed of progress on planning and budgeting and has access to needed materials •Act as the key link between institutional research and IT in ensuring that reporting and data consistency goals •Initiate and guide new projects in IT in response to required adjustments to the Planning and Budgeting Database •Provide extensive support to all units involved with the planning and budgeting process •In conjunction with the Director of Planning and Assessment, develop and monitor a variety of quantitative and qualitative measures •Collaborate as needed on additional institutional research projects related to planning.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in management of information systems, computer science, business, finance, accounting, research/statistics, or a related field.

The successful candidate must have knowledge of data management, quantitative data analysis, ease in dealing with large volumes of data, and reporting on an institutional level, including extensive knowledge of computer software applications in word-processing, spreadsheet, and database systems, including proficiency in working with macros and formulas in Microsoft Excel. Skill in Visual Basic is an asset. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and must have the ability to work closely and congenially with members of the university administration and faculty. The candidate must possess strong communication skills. The candidate must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and a professional manner. The candidate must have the ability to effectively prioritize requests, to turn policy goals into technical requirements, to work quickly under time pressure and meet deadlines, to work well without supervision, and to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
