Description
|
An Application Support Analyst is needed to provide end users with
support on complex technical issues in a web application environment
including problems related to application setup and SQL 2005/2008 stored
procedures. This role is also responsible for installation/deployment
of different solutions to issues faced by clients including bug fixes
patches, service packs, and SQL scripts.
Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for applications and resolve technical
issues.
Analyze problems to identify problem areas and recommend resolutions.
This could entail escalating the problem to a 2nd level of support or
other dedicated team.
Resolving complex application technical issues through investigation
and providing a walkthrough solution directly to the client via email,
phone, and other electronic medium.
Work in partnership with other departments as required and follow-up
with them until issue resolution.
Recommend solutions to customer application questions with regard to
setup and know-how issues.
Ensure follow up with clients and provide seamless updates on open
issues
Adhere to departmental procedures, processes, and practices.
Share and spread knowledge throughout the support team and relevant
areas.

| Qualifications |
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science /engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a software development context with minimum 1 year in a support role.
• Experience in supporting and maintaining applications on web and database platforms.
• Solid working knowledge and building queries in SQL 2005/2008 databases is a must.
• Previous experience working in an Internet and web driven environment
• Experience interfacing and managing client expectations on a day to day basis.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal & written, is a must.
• Strong problem solving and investigation skills
• Ability to review problems analytically.
• Client focused & support oriented.
• Able to work under stress and achieve set targets effectively.
• Able to learn multiple skills in a fast paced environment with minimal straggle.
