1. To determine in consultation with VP-Legal Properties and
General Counsel the appropriate legal structure for establishing and
operating JVs, consolidating our real property portfolio.
2. To provide legal services to new Business Development and to the
various operating department within Properties and advise on the legal
implementation of various Properties business activities and land
acquisition transactions.
3. To help on contracts relating to Property Development to include
consultancy, leasing, banking and construction contracts and ensure
that at all the times the best interests of the Group are protected.
4. Review of draft agreements received from outside parties intending
to enter into business relationship with Properties.
5. Participate in negotiations with outside parties along with
operating managers for concluding Property development transactions.
6. Assist managers in understanding legal issues of their business
transactions and drafting suitable clauses, and guidance.
7. Advise operating managers on the companys legal rights and the
legal framework of doing business in a given set of circumstances.
8. Liaise with external lawyers and assist in the preparation of legal
opinion and specific advice.
Qualifications
1.
Degree in Law with an excellent academic record throughout, with not
less than 5 years experience.
2. Should be conversant with property, corporate, fiscal and economical
laws in UAE and within some MENA Jurisdictions
3. Need to appreciate technical matters and finance related issues to
be able to correctly and clearly document the negotiated deal to ensure
that practical application of the terms and conditions is not
prejudiced.
4. Able to suggest creative legal strategies and provide practical
solutions.
5. Need to know the legal system of the countries in which MAF
Properties operates.
6. Must be able to quickly respond to changing priorities and to meet
close deadlines.
