Description	•Communicate all health and safety initiatives, processes and procedures throughout the organization to ensure all persons have a common and uniform understanding. •Demonstrate a strong commitment towards health and safety standards and guidelines, management systems and procedures. •Provide functional oversight, direction, and guidance of health and safety aspects throughout the organization. •Monitor, coordinate, measure performance, and report on, all health and safety activities throughout the organization. •Further develop and implement organization-wide health and safety initiatives including processes and procedures. •Monitor compliance of health and safety requirements and handle nonconformance issues according to relevant procedures. •Coaching senior and line managers to achieve excellence in health and safety. •Assist and guide all levels of management, supervisors and employees on site to implement accident prevention activities plus where necessary •provide interface to Contractors/Clients. •Roll-out where necessary, initiate and maintain quality input of a health and safety management system which meets the OHSAS 18001 specification.
Qualifications	•Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills •Good understanding and demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining a positive health and safety culture, achieving right balance between rules and values •Excellent understanding of health and safety in manufacturing and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of a site •Ability to work effectively at various levels within an organization from direct / contract labor though executive management •Team player with ability to drive results •Practical “hands-on” experience in developing and managing safety systems with the ability to dig into site specific details and develop solutions to complex safety issues •At least 5 years relevant working experience •Experience in a comparable function •Solutions oriented personality with analytic thinking
