Position Description:
Senior Java Developer will be responsible for developing applications in
working closely with business. This person will be responsible for
understanding the requirements, providing high-level design based on the
business requirements working with the technology manager and ensuring
the delivery of the modules.
Primary Responsibilities:
— Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting Java
applications consistent with established specifications and business
requirements to deliver business value.
— Performing code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices coding
standards.
— Working with a project team on modifications, updates and business
development.
— Interacting with business partners and key contacts.
— Working with other applications and IT groups as needed.
— Collaborating with the team on application architecture design.
— Providing alternate design solutions along with project estimates.
— Designing and implementing application enhancements in collaboration
with different teams.
— Troubleshooting production support issues post release deployment and
coming up with solutions and ability to solve complex production issues.
Qualifications
• BS in
Computer Science (or similar).
• 3+ years Java J2EE programming experience.
• 2+ years experience with Spring Framework or Hibernate experience.
• 2+ years experience with SQL - writing SQL statements, select queries
and update statements.
• 2+ years Experience with JUnit testing.
• 3+ years Experience developing web service applications.
• Experience utilizing Java with some or all of the following
technologies: Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC; HTML, JavaScript, CSS;
XML, XSD, XSLT, AJAX.
Assets:
• Strong knowledge of Oracle/ PL SQL.
• Experience with WebSphere.
• Experience with Eclipse.
• Experience with JAMon.
• Experience with UNIX.
• Aspect Oriented Programming experience.
• Experience with JQuery.
